“Enthronement Memorial Kanazawa Municipal Library” opens
(at what is currently the Otemachi, Kanazawa Medical Center site)

August 2nd, 1948

“Enthronement Memorial Kanazawa Municipal Library” gets renamed to “Kanazawa Municipal Library”

April 6th, 1979

Kanazawa Municipal Library relocates and reopens at its current location
New building gets annexed (the current Archives of Modern History Records)
(at Tamagawa-cho, the former Monopoly Corporation Factory site)

April 1st, 1995

“Kanazawa Municipal Library” gets renamed to “Kanazawa Municipal Tamagawa Library”

December 26th, 1996

The annex (the current Archives of Modern History Records) is entered in the cultural property registry of the Agency for Cultural Affairs

November 15th, 1999

The annex renovates and reopens as the Archives of Modern History Records
