(at what is currently the Otemachi, Kanazawa Medical Center site) - August 2nd, 1948
- “Enthronement Memorial Kanazawa Municipal Library” gets renamed to “Kanazawa Municipal Library”
- April 6th, 1979

Kanazawa Municipal Library relocates and reopens at its current location
New building gets annexed (the current Archives of Modern History Records)
(at Tamagawa-cho, the former Monopoly Corporation Factory site) - April 1st, 1995
- “Kanazawa Municipal Library” gets renamed to “Kanazawa Municipal Tamagawa Library”
- December 26th, 1996
- The annex (the current Archives of Modern History Records) is entered in the cultural property registry of the Agency for Cultural Affairs
- November 15th, 1999
- The annex renovates and reopens as the Archives of Modern History Records
